Returning from leave

I’m coming back!

Thank you to all my regular patients for their, ahem, patience 😁.

After over six months of absence (sorry).  I’ll be starting back at Watson General Practice from the 2nd of August.

Initially I’ll be consulting two days per week, Thursday’s and Friday’s.

Call our friendly reception staff on 6248 7005 or book online.

I look forward to catching up with you all.

Have you checked your skin?

Did you know Australia has the highest rates of skin cancer in the world?

We’re a sun loving nation but all that sun can leave its mark!

It’s healthy to check your skin regularly, or get a loved one to help you.  If you notice any changes to your moles, if they get darker, or change in size and shape it would be a great idea to see your GP for a check up.

The cancer council has some great information here on how to check your skin.

Remember prevention is better than cure, Slip on a hat, slap on some sunscreen,  Slop on some sunscreen!

Like all GPs, Dr. Riley has been trained to perform skin checks and has done some extra training in basic skin surgery.  If you would like your skin checked or you have any concerns about your skin please book an appointment on 6255 0888 and she will be happy to talk to you about your needs.

Intrauterine devices now available

Dr. Riley is very excited to announce that she is now available to insert intra uterine devices.

These include the Mirena and the non hormal IUDs known as copper coils.

If you are interested in the insertion of an IUD please contact Gungahlin Medical Centre on 6255 0888 to make an appointment to discuss the procedure further with Dr. Riley.
