I believe this is where I am supposed to do some fancy marketing about slow medicine and “wellness” and dazzle you with how I will treat you incredibly differently.
Truthfully, I don’t know how to do that very well, and I’m mostly terrified I’m going to drop an f-bomb.
The current model of General Practice is targeted towards high turnover and high volume, by necessity. I am a slow GP, who talks, who likes to get to know my patients and improve their quality of life. I can’t do this anymore.
Not just that, but you’ve told me you can’t either. That you feel rushed and unheard.
My aim at Manuka is to try something a little different.
Longer appointments as standard. More time. More focus on patients who align with values of inclusivity, personalised care and slow medicine.
If you think that this is you – I would love to work with you.
Please contact The Surgery in Manuka Terrace.
Initially appointments will be accepted via phone and a form will be emailed to you for your details. We will review those details and determine what type of appointment is most suitable. Reception will then contact you with further information on how to book, and the online booking system will then be opened to you.
Previous patients of mine are welcome to return.
My books are also open to new patients.
Let’s all try and avoid the f-bombs together (hahahaha, that’ll last, maybe a minute?)
Fees
Consultations
| Appointment type | Fee | Gap |
| Let’s have a natter about life and the universe and try and make it better (30 minutes) | $220 | $135.10 |
| We need to do all the things (45 minutes) | $325 | $199.90 |
| Eek, I lost my script, I woke up with a UTI, my baby has a fever, etc – 15 minutes (one issue)* | $110 | $66.10 |
*Brief appointments are available on the day or by prior arrangement.
Remember – the time you take is the time you take – consultations will be billed based on the time that’s elapsed, not the time that’s booked. I also aim to make sure that you always get the time you need.
That being said, I aim to respect both your time and mine. I’ll remind you if we’re getting close to the end of your booking. Time blindness is absolutely a thing – but in my office – it’s *my* job to make sure absolutely sure not only that you’re gently reminded how long we’ve been together, but that you’re financially consented if we are taking a little longer.
